स बुद्धिश्रुतिसम्पन्नस्तं दृष्टवातीव भीषणम् | सामैवास्मिन् प्रयुयुजे न मुमोह न विव्यथे
sa buddhiśrutisampannas taṃ dṛṣṭvātīva bhīṣaṇam | sāmaivāsmin prayuyuje na mumoh na vivyathe ||
Doué d’un jugement sûr et instruit des enseignements sacrés, en voyant ce rākṣasa d’une effroyable apparence, il ne perdit ni son sang-froid ni sa fermeté. Au contraire, il usa envers lui de la voie du sāma : la conciliation, par une parole calme et prudente.
