Chapter 128: Śiva–Umā Dialogue—Tilottamā, the Ritual Valence of the Śmaśāna, and the Fourfold Duty-Code
निश्चय ही तुम धनवानोंके बीच परम उत्तम और समयोचित बात कहते होगे, किंतु वह उन्हें पसंद न आती होगी। इसीलिये तुम सफेद और दुर्बल हो रहे हो ।।
dṛḍhapūrvaśrutaṃ mūrkhaṃ kupitaṃ hṛdayapriyam | anunetuṃ na śaknoṣi tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ ||
Le brahmane dit : «Quelqu’un qui t’est cher—jadis ferme dans sa résolution et de longue date familier à toi—par folie s’est mis en colère contre toi. Tu ne peux l’apaiser ni le ramener par une douce persuasion ; voilà pourquoi tu es devenu maigre et livide, tel un cerf.»
