Adhyāya 122 — Śruta-vṛtta-yukta Brāhmaṇa and the Ethics of Dāna
Maitreya–Vyāsa Saṃvāda
।। स कीट एवमाभाष्य ऋषिणा सत्यवादिना । प्रतिस्मृत्याथ जग्राह पादौ मूर्थ्नि कृताउ्जलि:
sa kīṭa evam ābhāṣya ṛṣiṇā satyavādinā | pratismṛtyātha jagrāha pādau mūrdhni kṛtāñjaliḥ ||
Après s’être ainsi entretenu avec le sage qui ne dit que vérité, cet être—alors sous la forme d’un ver—se remémora (les paroles et la grâce du sage). Puis, les mains jointes en signe de vénération, il se prosterna et posa sa tête sur les pieds du sage, exprimant humilité, gratitude et soumission au dharma.
