मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
सदा द्वादशमासान् वै जुह्मानो जातवेदसम् | सरस्वती गोपयानो ब्रह्मचर्य समाचरन्
bhīṣma uvāca | sadā dvādaśa-māsān vai juhmāno jātavedasam | sarasvatīṁ gopayāno brahmacaryaṁ samācaran |
Bhīṣma dit : Celui qui, durant douze mois entiers, verse sans cesse des oblations dans le feu sacré, Agni Jātavedas, maîtrise sa parole et pratique le brahmacarya—renonçant à jamais aux guirlandes de fleurs, à la pâte de santal, au miel et à la viande—atteint les mondes des Maruts et d’Indra.
