उपवासविधि-प्रश्नः

Inquiry into the Discipline of Fasting

भ्रातृणामविभक्तानामुत्थानमपि चेत्‌ सह | न पुत्रभागं विषमं पिता दद्यात्‌ कदाचन

bhrātṝṇām avibhaktānām utthānam api cet saha | na putrabhāgaṁ viṣamaṁ pitā dadyāt kadācana ||

Bhīṣma dit : «Lorsque des frères n’ont pas encore partagé leurs parts et qu’ils ont, par un effort commun, accru la richesse de la maison, alors—même si, du vivant du père, ils souhaitent se séparer—le père ne doit jamais attribuer des portions inégales à ses fils. Il doit leur donner des parts égales.»
