बलेवैंरोचनस्येह त्रैलोक्यमनुशासत: । समीपमाजगामाशु शुक्रो भूगुकुलोद्वह:,पहलेकी बात है, विरोचनकुमार बलि तीनों लोकोंका शासन करते थे। उन दिनों भुगुकुलभूषण शुक्र शीघ्रतापूर्वक उनके पास आये
baler vairocanasyeha trailokyam anuśāsataḥ | samīpam ājagāmāśu śukro bhṛgukulodvahaḥ ||
Bhishma dit : Tandis que Bali, fils de Virocana, régnait sur les trois mondes, Śukra —le plus éminent de la lignée des Bhṛgu— vint promptement en sa présence.
भीष्म उवाच
Even at the height of power, a ruler should remain receptive to the guidance of a qualified preceptor; legitimate governance is strengthened by wise counsel and dharma-oriented instruction.
Bali, son of Virocana, is described as ruling the three worlds. At that time Śukra, the renowned Bhṛgu-sage and preceptor, swiftly approaches Bali, indicating an impending instruction, warning, or counsel relevant to rule and conduct.
