Restraint through the Analysis of Karma and Time
वैशम्पायन उवाच इत्येतद् वचन श्रुत्व बभूव विगतज्वर: । युधिष्ठिरो महातेजा: पप्रच्छेद॑ च धर्मवित्
vaiśampāyana uvāca | ity etad vacanaṃ śrutvā babhūva vigatajvaraḥ | yudhiṣṭhiro mahātejāḥ papraccha ca dharmavit ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Ayant entendu ces paroles, l’illustre Yudhiṣṭhira, connaisseur du dharma, fut délivré de la fièvre intérieure de son inquiétude, puis il interrogea de nouveau.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Right counsel grounded in dharma calms mental turmoil; once anxiety subsides, a ruler can inquire clearly and proceed ethically.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that after hearing Bhīṣma’s words, Yudhiṣṭhira’s worry is relieved and he resumes questioning, continuing the dharma-instruction sequence.
