ययाति–देवयानी संवादः
Yayāti–Devayānī Dialogue and Śukra’s Consent
आचक्षे वो दानवा बालिशा: स्थ सिद्ध: कचो वत्स्यति मत्सकाशे । संजीविनीं प्राप्य विद्यां महात्मा तुल्यप्रभावो ब्राह्मणो ब्रह्मभूत:
ācakṣe vo dānavā bāliśāḥ sthā siddhaḥ kaco vatsyati matsakāśe | saṃjīvinīṃ prāpya vidyāṃ mahātmā tulyaprabhāvo brāhmaṇo brahmabhūtaḥ ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana dit : « Je vous le déclare, ô Dānavas insensés : tenez-vous fermes et écoutez. Kaca, l’accompli, demeurera auprès de moi. Ayant obtenu la science qui rend la vie, nommée Saṃjīvinī, ce brāhmaṇa au grand cœur deviendra égal en puissance (aux plus éminents), établi dans le brahman — celui qui a atteint l’état de brahman. »
