Ādi Parva, Adhyāya 68 — Sarvadamana’s Childhood and Śakuntalā’s Claim at Court
As a colophon, the verse primarily teaches how the epic frames events as ordered and purposeful: divine portions descend into the world and narrative episodes reach completion, underscoring moral causality and cosmic governance rather than random history.
The speaker marks the formal end of the sixty-seventh chapter in the Sambhava Parva within the Ādi Parva, indicating that the section concerning aṁśāvataraṇa (descent of portions) and the completion of the Yama-related account has concluded.
