Duḥṣanta at Kaṇva-Āśrama; Śakuntalā’s Reception and Origin Prelude (दुःषन्तस्य कण्वाश्रमागमनम्)
This line functions as a colophon: it teaches attentiveness to textual structure and framing, signaling that the preceding narration belongs to the Aṃśāvataraṇa theme—events are presented as part of a larger moral and cosmic order rather than isolated incidents.
The narrator formally closes the chapter, stating that the sixty-fourth chapter of the Aṃśāvataraṇa section within the Ādi Parva has been completed.
