Tapovana-praveśaḥ — The King’s Entry into the Sacred Grove and Vision of the Āśrama
एवं वीर्यबलोल्सिक्ति भूरियत्नैर्महासुरै: । पीड्यमाना मही राजन् ब्रह्माणमुपचक्रमे,राजन्! जब इस प्रकार बल और पराक्रमके मदसे उन्मत्त महादैत्य विशेष यत्नपूर्वक इस पृथ्वीको पीड़ा देने लगे, तब यह ब्रह्माजीकी शरणमें जानेको उद्यत हुई
evaṁ vīrya-balolliktaḥ bhūri-yatnaiḥ mahāsuraiḥ | pīḍyamānā mahī rājan brahmāṇam upacakrame ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : «Ô roi, lorsque la Terre, tourmentée par de puissants asura enivrés de leur force et de leur prouesse, s’acharnant sans relâche à l’opprimer, ne put plus supporter cette tyrannie, elle se mit en route pour chercher refuge auprès de Brahmā.»
