आस्तीक-वरप्रदानम् (Āstīka’s Boon and the Interruption of the Sarpa-satra)
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत आदिपरववके अन्तर्गत आस्तीकपवरमें जनमेजय और सन्त्रियोंका संवादविषयक पचासवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārata-ādiparvaṇi antar-gata āstīka-parvaṇi janamejaya-sūta-yoḥ saṃvāda-viṣayakaḥ pañcāśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ
Ainsi s’achève le cinquantième chapitre de la section d’Āstīka, au sein de l’Ādi Parva du Śrī Mahābhārata, consacré au dialogue entre le roi Janamejaya et le narrateur Sūta. Ce colophon marque une halte dans la transmission de l’épopée et souligne la méthode éthique du Mahābhārata : le dharma s’y explore par le questionnement, l’écoute et le récit médité, plutôt que par la simple assertion.
