न चाप्येवं त्वया भूय: क्षेप्तव्या ब्रह्म॒वादिन: । न चावमान्या दर्पात् ते वाग्वज़्ा भूशकोपना:,“एक बात ध्यान रखना--आजसे फिर कभी तुम घमंडमें आकर ब्रह्मवादी महात्माओंका उपहास और अपमान न करना; क्योंकि उनके पास वाणीरूप अमोघ वच् है तथा वे तीक्ष्ण कोपवाले होते हैं!
na cāpy evaṁ tvayā bhūyaḥ kṣeptavyā brahmavādinaḥ | na cāvamānyā darpāt te vāg-vajrā bhṛśa-kopanāḥ ||
Śaunaka dit : «Dès ce jour, ne te moque plus ainsi des brahma-vādins. Ne les outrage pas par orgueil ; car leur parole est comme la foudre, infaillible dans son effet, et ils sont capables d’une colère farouche. Fais-en ta règle à partir d’aujourd’hui.»
