Garuḍa–Śakra Saṃvāda and the Retrieval of Amṛta (गरुड–शक्र संवादः अमृत-अपहरण-प्रसङ्गः)
तावुभौ भक्षयित्वा तु स तार्क्ष्य: कूर्मकुञ्जरौ । ततः पर्वतकूटाग्रादुत्पपात महाजव:,इस प्रकार कछुए और हाथी दोनोंको खाकर महान् वेगशाली गरुड पर्वतकी उस चोटीसे ही ऊपरकी ओर उड़े
tāv ubhau bhakṣayitvā tu sa tārkṣyaḥ kūrma-kuñjarau | tataḥ parvata-kūṭāgrād utpapāta mahājavaḥ ||
Après avoir dévoré tous deux — la tortue et l’éléphant — Tārkṣya (Garuḍa), d’une vitesse prodigieuse, bondit vers les hauteurs depuis le sommet même de la montagne. L’épisode souligne la force irrésistible d’un être agissant selon sa puissance et sa vocation innées, tout en laissant pressentir les lourdes conséquences lorsque des créatures s’enchevêtrent dans la haine et sont rattrapées par un agent du destin plus puissant.
