वने काश्चिचज्जले काश्ित् काश्रिद् वेश्मसु चाड़ना: । यथायोग्यं यथाप्रीति चिक्रीडु: पार्थकृष्णयो:
vane kāścid jale kāścit kāścid veśmasu cāḍanāḥ | yathāyogyaṃ yathāprīti cikrīḍuḥ pārthakṛṣṇayoḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Certaines femmes s’ébattaient dans la forêt, d’autres dans l’eau, d’autres encore à l’intérieur des demeures ; chacune se livrait au jeu comme il convenait et comme il plaisait à Kṛṣṇa et à Arjuna. La scène souligne un ordre de cour où la conduite doit être appropriée au lieu et au moment, et conforme au souhait des hôtes.
