Arjuna Restores a Brāhmaṇa’s Cattle and Accepts Forest Exile
Satya-vrata at Khaṇḍavaprastha
The verse highlights dharmic governance through timely, truthful communication and proper royal procedure: Vidura ensures that decisions (granting leave) are followed by responsible diplomacy (sending swift envoys), aiming to maintain order and reduce suspicion within the Kuru household.
Vidura tells the king that once permission is given for the Pāṇḍavas to depart/act, he will immediately send fast messengers to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra, informing him that the Pāṇḍavas, along with their mother Kuntī and their wife Draupadī, will come to Hastināpura.
