समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः
Samantapañcaka Narrative and the Measure of an Akṣauhiṇī
तस्य प्रज्ञाभिपन्नस्य विचित्रपदपर्वण: । सूक्ष्मार्थन्याययुक्तस्य वेदार्थभ्भूषितस्य च,यह महाभारत इतिहास ज्ञानका भण्डार है। इसमें सूक्ष्म-से-सूक्ष्म पदार्थ और उनका अनुभव करानेवाली युक्तियाँ भरी हुई हैं। इसका एक-एक पद और पर्व आश्चर्यजनक है तथा यह वेदोंके धर्ममय अर्थसे अलंकृत है। अब इसके पर्वोकी संग्रह-सूची सुनिये। पहले अध्यायमें पर्वानुक्रमणी है और दूसरेमें पर्वसंग्रह
tasya prajñābhipannasya vicitrapadaparvaṇaḥ | sūkṣmārthanyāyayuktasya vedārthabhūṣitasya ca ||
Ce Mahābhārata—saisi par une intelligence pénétrante—est prodigieux en chaque mot et en chaque parvan (section). Il est pourvu de sens subtils et d’un raisonnement juste, et il est orné de la portée védique imprégnée de dharma.
