Vidurovācā: Śreyas, Mantra, and Conciliation toward the Pāṇḍavas

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharma expressed as orderly conduct and fidelity to prescribed rites (yathāvidhi, krameṇa). Even in celebration, proper procedure and respect for hierarchy are maintained, suggesting that joy is best grounded in disciplined, ethical order.

Under the guidance of the priest Dhāumya, the group proceeds in proper sequence into the ceremonial hall (wedding pavilion). Their confident, delighted entry is compared to strong bulls entering a cowshed, emphasizing vigor, unity, and festive momentum.
