द्रौपदी-वरण-प्रत्ययः — Intelligence Reports and the Kaurava Court’s Response
ततः स राजा द्रुपद: प्रहृष्ट: पुरोहितं प्रेषयामास तेषाम् । विद्याम युष्मानिति भाषमाणो महात्मान: पाण्डुसुतास्तु कच्चित्,जनमेजय! इस समाचारसे राजा द्रुपदको बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई, उन्होंने उसी समय उनके पास अपने पुरोहितको भेजते हुए कहा--“आप उन लोगोंसे कहियेगा कि मैं आपलोगोंका परिचय जानना चाहता हूँ। क्या आपलोग महात्मा पाण्डुके पुत्र हैं?
tataḥ sa rājā drupadaḥ prahṛṣṭaḥ purohitaṁ preṣayāmāsa teṣām | vidyāṁ yuṣmān iti bhāṣamāṇo mahātmānaḥ pāṇḍusutās tu kaccit, janamejaya ||
Alors le roi Drupada, transporté de joie, envoya vers eux son prêtre de famille. Disant : « Je veux savoir qui vous êtes », il demanda : « Ô Janamejaya, seriez-vous par hasard les nobles fils de Pāṇḍu ? »
