कर्ण उवाच तुष्यामि ते विप्रमुख्य भुजवीर्यस्य संयुगे । अविषादस्य चैवास्य शत्त्रास्त्रविजयस्थ च
karṇa uvāca tuṣyāmi te vipramukhya bhujavīryasya saṃyuge | aviṣādasya caivāsya śastrāstravijayasya ca ||
Karna dit : « Ô le plus éminent des brahmanes, tu me donnes satisfaction : ta force de bras au combat est manifeste. En toi, nul signe de fatigue ni d’abattement, et l’on dirait que tu as dompté la victoire sur les armes et les traits. »
कर्ण उवाच
The verse highlights warrior-ethics: steadiness without fatigue or dejection (aviṣāda) and disciplined mastery over arms (śastra-astra) are praised as marks of true martial excellence.
Karna addresses a Brahmin-identified figure, commending his performance in a martial context—his strength in battle, his unshaken composure, and his command over weapons—expressing personal satisfaction at witnessing it.
