The colophon highlights the importance of establishing dharmic order through proper guidance: appointing a qualified purohita like Dhaumya symbolizes reliance on learned counsel and correct ritual practice as supports for ethical governance and personal conduct.
This is an end-of-chapter closing statement (colophon) indicating that the 182nd chapter of the Ādi Parva, within the Caitraratha section, has concluded, and that its subject concerned the appointment of Dhaumya as the priest.
