उच्चैःश्रवसः वर्णविपणः तथा नागशापः
Uccaiḥśravas Color-Wager and the Nāga Curse
एतदत्यद्भुतं दृष्टवा दानवानां समुत्थित: । अमृतार्थे महान् नादो ममेदमिति जल्पताम्,यह अत्यन्त अद्भुत दृश्य देखकर दानवोंमें अमृतके लिये कोलाहल मच गया। वे सब कहने लगे “यह मेरा है, यह मेरा है”
etad atyadbhutaṃ dṛṣṭvā dānavānāṃ samutthitaḥ | amṛtārthe mahān nādo mamedaṃ iti jalpatām ||
Śaunaka dit : À la vue de ce spectacle prodigieux, un grand tumulte s’éleva parmi les Dānavas, poussés par le désir de l’amṛta. Chacun, dans l’avidité, clamait : « C’est à moi ! C’est à moi ! »
