सहधर्मचरीं दान्तां नित्यं मातृसमां मम । सखायं विद्िितां देवैर्नित्यं परमिकां गतिम्‌,प्रिये! तुम मेरी सहधर्मिणी और इन्द्रियोंकों संयममें रखनेवाली हो। सदा सावधान रहकर माताके समान मेरा पालन-पोषण करती हो। देवताओंने तुम्हें मेरी सखी (सहायिका) बनाया है। तुम सदा मेरी परम गति (सबसे बड़ा सहारा) हो

sahadharmacārīṃ dāntāṃ nityaṃ mātṛsamāṃ mama | sakhāyaṃ viditāṃ devair nityaṃ paramikāṃ gatiṃ, priye! |

Le brahmane dit : « Bien-aimée, tu es ma compagne dans le dharma — maîtresse de toi et inébranlable. Toujours attentive, tu prends soin de moi et me soutiens comme une mère.
