Chapter 157
सो<यं ते बन्धुकामाया अशृण्वत्या वचो मम । बन्धुप्रणाश: सम्प्राप्तो भृशं॑ दुः:खकरो मम,तुमने बंधु-बान्धवोंके साथ रहनेकी इच्छा रखकर जो मेरी बात नहीं सुनी, उसीका यह फल है कि आज समस्त भाई-बंधुओंके विनाशकी घड़ी आ पहुँची है, जो मेरे लिये अत्यन्त दुःखका कारण है
so ’yaṁ te bandhukāmāyā aśṛṇvatyā vaco mama | bandhu-praṇāśaḥ samprāpto bhṛśaṁ duḥkha-karo mama ||
«Parce que, poussée par le désir de demeurer parmi les tiens, tu n’as pas écouté mes paroles, voici la conséquence : l’heure de la ruine de tes proches est maintenant arrivée—et cela m’accable d’une douleur profonde».
