वाहयित्वा कुमारांस्ताञ्जलक्रीडागतांस्तदा । प्रमाणकोट्यां वासार्थी सुष्वापावाप्य तत्‌ स्थलम्‌,वे जलक्रीड़ाके लिये आये हुए उन कुमारोंको साथ लेकर विश्राम करनेकी इच्छासे प्रमाणकोटिके उस गृहमें आये और वहीं एक स्थानमें सो गये

Transliteration

vāhayitvā kumārāṁs tāñ jalakrīḍāgatāṁs tadā | pramāṇakoṭyāṁ vāsārthī suṣvāpa āvāpy tat sthalam ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dit : Ayant emmené avec lui ces garçons venus pour les jeux d’eau, et cherchant un lieu de repos, il entra dans la maison de Pramāṇakoṭī et s’y étendit pour dormir, en un endroit déterminé. La scène rappelle que des besoins ordinaires—repos et abri—peuvent préparer des événements décisifs, et que la vigilance dans les lieux partagés relève du juste devoir.
