ततस्तामागतो वायुर्मगारूढो महाबल: । किं ते कुन्ति ददाम्यद्य ब्रूहि यत् ते हदि स्थितम्,तब महाबली वायु मृगपर आरूढ़ हो कुन्तीके पास आये और यों बोले--“कुन्ती! तुम्हारे मनमें जो अभिलाषा हो, वह कहो। मैं तुम्हें क्या दूँ?”
tatas tām āgato vāyur mṛgārūḍho mahābalaḥ | kiṃ te kunti dadāmy adya brūhi yat te hṛdi sthitam ||
Alors le dieu du Vent, puissant et monté sur un cerf, vint à elle et dit : «Kuntī, dis-moi quel désir demeure dans ton cœur. Que dois-je t’accorder aujourd’hui ?»
