एवमुक्ता तु सा देवी तथा चक्रे पतिव्रता । यथोक्तमेव तद्वाक्यं भद्रा पुत्रार्थिनी तदा,आकाशवाणीके यों कहनेपर पुत्रकी इच्छा रखनेवाली पतिव्रता भद्रादेवीने पतिकी पूर्वोक्त आज्ञाका अक्षरश: पालन किया
evamuktā tu sā devī tathā cakre pativratā | yathoktam eva tad vākyaṃ bhadrā putrārthinī tadā ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Ainsi admonestée, cette noble dame — inébranlable dans la fidélité d’épouse — fit exactement ce qui avait été dit. Alors Bhadrā, désireuse d’un fils, exécuta à la lettre l’injonction de son mari, telle qu’elle avait été prononcée.
