संयुक्ता विप्रयुक्ता श्च पूर्वदेहे कृता मया । तदिदं कर्मभि: पापै: पूर्वदेहेषु संचितम्
saṃyuktā viprayuktāś ca pūrvadehe kṛtā mayā | tad idaṃ karmabhiḥ pāpaiḥ pūrvadeheṣu sañcitam, rājan |
Vaiśampāyana dit : «Dans un corps antérieur, j’ai causé la séparation d’hommes et de femmes qui vivaient unis. Par ces actes fautifs, amassés comme une semence latente au fil de mes existences passées, cette même douleur de la séparation s’est abattue sur moi à présent, ô roi.»
