समुत्पन्ना दैवतेभ्य: पुत्रा: पठच महारथा: । एतदू विद्वन् यथान्यायं विस्तरेण तपोधन
sam utpannā daivatebhyaḥ putrāḥ pṛthak mahārathāḥ | etad u vidvan yathānyāyaṃ vistareṇa tapodhana ||
Janamejaya dit : «Ces fils—chacun un grand guerrier de char—nés des dieux : ô sage, ô trésor d’austérité, raconte-moi cela selon l’ordre convenable et dans tout le détail, comme il se doit.»
