This verse shows the proper mood of Bhagavata hearing: realized, Lord-dedicated speakers invite sincere listeners—“Please hear”—highlighting śravaṇam as a primary doorway to bhakti.
Because the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya had respectfully questioned him, and as a surrendered narrator he begins the response by calling them to attentive hearing of Bhagavata-kathā.
Seek authentic devotional teachings, ask sincere questions, and practice focused listening—regularly hearing sacred narratives with attention and humility.
