Diti’s Untimely Desire and the Birth-Cause of the Asura Line
Prelude to Hiranyākṣa–Varāha
athātrāpītihāso ’yaṁ śruto me varṇitaḥ purā brahmaṇā deva-devena devānām anupṛcchatām
This verse emphasizes that Bhagavatam’s teachings are preserved as sacred history heard from realized authorities—here, Brahmā—and passed on through authentic narration.
He introduces the upcoming episode by grounding it in a prior dialogue where the demigods questioned Brahmā, establishing the account’s authority and context.
Seek wisdom through reliable sources and lineage—learn spiritual principles by hearing from trustworthy teachers rather than speculation or hearsay.
