Diti’s Untimely Desire and the Birth-Cause of the Asura Line

मैत्रेय उवाच स्वसर्गस्याशिषं लोक्यामाशासानां प्रवेपतीम् । निवृत्तसन्ध्यानियमो भार्यामाह प्रजापति: ॥ ३७ ॥
maitreya uvāca sva-sargasyāśiṣaṁ lokyām āśāsānāṁ pravepatīm nivṛtta-sandhyā-niyamo bhāryām āha prajāpatiḥ
Maitreya dit : Le prajāpati Kaśyapa s’adressa ainsi à son épouse, qui tremblait de peur d’avoir offensé son mari. Bien qu’elle comprît l’avoir détourné du devoir des prières du soir, elle souhaitait le bien de ses enfants dans le monde.
