Brahmā’s Creation: The Kumāras, Rudra, the Prajāpatis, and the Manifestation of Vedic Sound
vidura uvāca sa vai viśva-sṛjām īśo vedādīn mukhato ’sṛjat yad yad yenāsṛjad devas tan me brūhi tapo-dhana
This verse states that Brahmā, the chief creator, manifested the Vedas (and related sacred knowledge) from his mouths, indicating their divine, revealed origin within cosmic creation.
Vidura seeks a detailed, step-by-step understanding of how Brahmā produced various beings and principles—what was created and the specific means for each—so the creation narrative becomes clear and coherent.
It encourages approaching sacred knowledge with humility and inquiry—learning systematically from realized teachers, and seeing wisdom as meant to guide life, not merely as information.
