Prahlāda Rejects Material Boons; Forgives His Father; Tripura and the Power of Remembrance
प्रतिनन्द्य ततो देवा: प्रयुज्य परमाशिष: । स्वधामानि ययू राजन्ब्रह्माद्या: प्रतिपूजिता: ॥ ३४ ॥
pratinandya tato devāḥ prayujya paramāśiṣaḥ sva-dhāmāni yayū rājan brahmādyāḥ pratipūjitāḥ
Ô roi, après avoir été dûment honorés par Prahlāda, les dieux menés par Brahmā lui accordèrent leurs bénédictions suprêmes puis regagnèrent leurs demeures.
It says the demigods rejoiced, bestowed exalted blessings, and then returned to their own abodes, led by Brahmā, after being properly honored.
Śukadeva is narrating the account to Parīkṣit directly; “rājan” marks the continuing dialogue and keeps the listener anchored in the devotional history being recounted.
