Transliteration

bhagīrathaḥ sa rājarṣir ninye bhuvana-pāvanīm yatra sva-pitṝṇāṁ dehā bhasmībhūtāḥ sma śerate

Translation

Le saint roi Bhagīratha conduisit le Gange, purificateur des mondes, jusqu’au lieu où gisaient, réduits en cendres, les corps de ses ancêtres.
