Mahārāja Sagara, Kapila Muni, and the Deliverance of the Sixty Thousand Sons
śrī-śuka uvāca harito rohita-sutaś campas tasmād vinirmitā campāpurī sudevo ’to vijayo yasya cātmajaḥ
In this verse, Śukadeva Gosvāmī states that Harita, the son of Rohita, established Campāpurī.
He narrates sacred genealogies to preserve dharmic history and to show how royal lineages continued through righteous succession within the Bhagavatam’s broader teachings.
They cultivate respect for dharma, continuity of tradition, and remembrance that worldly power is temporary while spiritual hearing (śravaṇam) is enduring.
