शशंस पित्रे तत् सर्वं वयोरूपाभिलम्भनम् । विस्मित: परमप्रीतस्तनयां परिषस्वजे ॥ २३ ॥
śaśaṁsa pitre tat sarvaṁ vayo-rūpābhilambhanam vismitaḥ parama-prītas tanayāṁ pariṣasvaje
Sukanyā raconta à son père comment son époux avait retrouvé la jeunesse et un corps magnifique. En l’entendant, le roi fut très étonné et, dans une grande joie, serra sa fille bien-aimée dans ses bras.
It describes how the person recounts to his father the full event of regaining youth and beauty, after which the amazed and delighted father embraces his daughter.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating this verse to Mahārāja Parīkṣit as part of the historical account in the Ninth Canto.
