Kṛṣṇa Teases Rukmiṇī; Her Devotional Reply and the Lord’s Assurance
na tvādṛśīm praṇayinīṁ gṛhiṇīṁ gṛheṣu paśyāmi mānini yayā sva-vivāha-kāle prāptān nṛpān na vigaṇayya raho-haro me prasthāpito dvija upaśruta-sat-kathasya
It highlights that Rukmiṇī’s love was extraordinary: despite many kings being present for her wedding, she secretly sent a brāhmaṇa messenger to Kṛṣṇa, showing decisive, exclusive devotion.
After teasing her, Kṛṣṇa reassures and honors Rukmiṇī by praising her unmatched loving devotion—especially her bold act of sending a message to Him at her wedding.
Her example teaches prioritizing sincere commitment to the Lord over social pressure—acting with faith, seeking saintly guidance (like the brāhmaṇa messenger), and choosing devotion with clarity.
