Le Seigneur Suprême dit : Chère princesse, bien des rois, puissants comme les régents des mondes, te recherchaient. C’étaient de grands seigneurs comblés d’influence, de richesses, de beauté, de générosité et de force.
It states that Rukmiṇī, a royal princess, was sought by many powerful kings and exalted rulers, distinguished by splendor, beauty, generosity, and strength.
In this chapter’s intimate dialogue, Kṛṣṇa highlights Rukmiṇī’s exceptional worth and the stature of her suitors, setting the context for His own divine relationship with her and the mood of loving exchange.
External qualifications—status, power, attractiveness—may draw attention, but Bhagavatam points the heart toward discerning what is truly worthy and choosing relationships anchored in virtue and devotion.
