यथोदकमपपुषोऽपशुष्यत्यास्यऽम्। एवा नि शुष्य मां कामेनाथो शुष्कास्या चर
yáthodakám apapuṣó ’pa śúṣyaty āsyàm | evā́ ní śuṣya mā́m kāména átho śúṣkāsyā cara
As water dries away from one swollen with dropsy, so in like wise dry up wholly for me with longing; and, dry-mouthed, come thou and obey thy course toward me.
Comme l’eau se dessèche chez celui que l’hydropisie a enflé, ainsi dessèche-toi tout entière pour moi sous l’ardeur du désir; et, la bouche sèche, viens et suis ta voie vers moi.
