Sukta 87
तवेदं विश्वमभितः पशव्यं१ यत् पश्यसि चक्षसा सूर्यस्य । गवामसि गोपतिरेक इन्द्र भक्षीमहि ते प्रयतस्य वस्वः
távédáṃ víśvam abhítaḥ paśávyam yát páśyasi cákṣasā sū́ryasya | gávām asi gopátir éka indra bhakṣī́mahi te práyatásya vásvaḥ
Thine verily is all this, on every side, this cattle-rich domain which thou beholdest with the Sun’s eye. Of cows thou art the sole Lord, O Indra: may we partake of the wealth thou holdest forth.
Vraiment, tout ceci est à toi de toutes parts, ce domaine riche en bétail que tu vois avec l’œil du Soleil. Des vaches tu es l’unique Seigneur, ô Indra ; puissions-nous prendre part à la richesse que tu tends, au bien apprêté.
