कलिस्वरूप-वर्णनम् एवं कालमान-प्रस्तावना

न प्रीतिर् वेदवादेषु पाषण्डेषु यदा रतिः कलेर् वृद्धिस् तदा प्राज्ञैर् अनुमेया द्विजोत्तम

na prītir vedavādeṣu pāṣaṇḍeṣu yadā ratiḥ kaler vṛddhis tadā prājñair anumeyā dvijottama

Cuando ya no hay deleite en las enseñanzas del Veda y, en cambio, hay apego a doctrinas heréticas, entonces—oh el mejor de los nacidos dos veces—los sabios infieren que Kali ha crecido en poder.
