जाते पुत्रे पितुः स्नानं सचैलस्य विधीयते मृते च सर्वबन्धूनामित्याह भगवान् भृगुः

jāte putre pituḥ snānaṃ sacailasya vidhīyate mṛte ca sarvabandhūnāmityāha bhagavān bhṛguḥ

Cuando nace un hijo varón, se prescribe para el padre un baño con las vestiduras puestas (sacaila-snāna); y cuando hay una muerte, se prescribe (el baño) para todos los parientes—así lo declaró el venerable Bhṛgu.
