Yogatattva

Partless, stainless, peaceful, transcending all, free from disease—That alone, in the form of the individual soul, is covered by the fruits of merit and demerit.

Ātman/Brahman and the jīva’s apparent limitation through karma and upādhi (avidyā)Mahavakya: Clarifies the background for ‘तत् त्वम् असि’ (Tat tvam asi): the same Reality (tat) appears as the individual (tvam) when associated with limiting adjuncts and karma; identity is realized by negating coverings.Krishna YajurvedaChandas: Anuṣṭubh (śloka)
