Por mandato de Śiva, debe repetirse “Om” mil veces, y así se alcanzan todos los fines deseados. También puede servírsele con obras como cuidar jardines de flores y otras semejantes, así como barrer y limpiar el recinto sagrado.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: oṃ
Type: gayatri
Role: nurturing
Offering: pushpa
It teaches that Śiva is pleased not only by mantra-recitation but also by humble, purifying service; japa and seva together refine the devotee’s mind and align it with Śiva’s grace.
The verse supports Saguna worship through practical devotion—maintaining the sacred space, offering flowers, and performing cleansing acts—along with mantra-japa, all of which are central to Linga-upāsanā.
Repeat “Om” one thousand times as japa, and complement it with devotional acts like tending flowers for offerings and sweeping/cleaning the shrine as a form of sacred seva.
