It highlights śaraṇāgati (taking refuge): approaching Shiva—the Jagadguru—with humility (añjali) is the right inner posture for receiving grace and guidance toward liberation.
The act of approaching “that very Deva” mirrors upāsanā of Saguna Shiva—coming near the Linga or Shiva’s manifest presence with reverence, acknowledging Him as the world’s Lord and Guru.
Practice añjali (folded hands) and mental surrender while reciting the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—approaching Shiva with a calm, devoted mind as if standing in His presence.
