(Bhairavāvatāra-varṇanam) — “Description of the Descent/Manifestation of Bhairava”
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: liberating
It teaches that true liberation arises from realizing the Self in the light of Shiva (Parameshvara); when this realization dawns, bondage and suffering lose their power and fall away.
Linga worship supports concentration and devotion toward Shiva’s presence; through mature bhakti and inner contemplation, the seeker moves from Saguna focus to the realization of Shiva as the indwelling Self beyond harm and change.
Japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with steady dhyana on Shiva in the heart is implied; such practice ripens into Self-knowledge, where fear and bondage dissolve.
