Jaṭilāvatāra-Parīkṣā: Pārvatyāḥ Tapasāṃ Parīkṣaṇam

नन्दीश्वर उवाच । इति पृष्टस्तु पार्वत्या ब्रह्मचारी स वै द्विजः । प्रत्युवाच द्रुतम्प्रीत्या शिवाभावपरीक्षया
nandīśvara uvāca | iti pṛṣṭastu pārvatyā brahmacārī sa vai dvijaḥ | pratyuvāca drutamprītyā śivābhāvaparīkṣayā
Dijo Nandīśvara: Así interrogado por Pārvatī, aquel brahmacārin—en verdad un sabio dos veces nacido—respondió al instante con gozo, pues estaba poniendo a prueba su firme devoción y su comprensión de la verdadera naturaleza de Śiva.
