El más excelso mendicante dijo: «Oh esposa de un brāhmaṇa, responderé con detalle a todas tus preguntas. Escucha con atención este relato sagrado y excelente».
Bhikṣuvarya (the foremost mendicant)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Bhikṣāṭana
Role: teaching
It highlights śravaṇa (attentive listening) to a sacred Shaiva narrative as a direct means to remove doubts and receive clarified guidance—an essential step toward devotion and right understanding of Pati (Śiva).
By preparing the listener to hear an “excellent account,” the verse frames the narrative as authoritative instruction that typically leads to concrete Saguna Śiva practices—such as devotion to Śiva’s forms and the Linga—grounded in clear answers to the seeker’s questions.
The immediate practice is disciplined listening with attention (sāvadhāna-śravaṇa) to Shaiva kathā; as a takeaway, one may hear or recite Shiva Purana passages regularly as a devotional observance, especially on Mahāśivarātri.
