Yatinātha-līlā: Śiva’s Test of the Bhilla Devotees at Arbuda Mountain
Lord Shiva (Shambhu/Hara)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
The verse highlights Śiva’s prasāda (grace): when a devotee’s inner disposition and conduct align with devotion and surrender, the Lord becomes supremely pleased and opens the way for divine blessing—often a step toward purification and liberation in a Shaiva Siddhanta sense.
The boons of Śambhu reflect Saguna Śiva’s compassionate accessibility: through Linga-worship and personal devotion, the devotee encounters the Lord as Prabhu who responds, guides, and grants what supports dharma and spiritual ascent.
The implied takeaway is to cultivate devotion that pleases Śiva—steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), coupled with simple Linga-pūjā (water/abhisheka) and a prayerful request for a boon aligned with dharma and inner purification.
